Novastart is the infinite canvas OS: a computer where every app you use, your teammates, and your AI agents share one endless, zoomable workspace.
Your work should never run out of room. A normal desktop gives you one screen and a pile of overlapping windows. On Novastart, every app is a window with its own place on an infinite canvas: Chrome, ChatGPT, Claude, Word, Excel, Gmail, Notion, your files and everything else you already use. Zoom out to see a whole project at once, then zoom in to work. Nothing hides behind a tab. Keep one canvas for work, one for a trip, one for the household budget, as many as you need, and each one reopens exactly as you left it, with every app, position and tab in place. If you close something by mistake, undo it: Novastart keeps a hundred steps of undo per canvas, even for closing an app.
Stop sharing your screen. Share the workspace. Invite a teammate to a canvas and you both see the same live windows, each with your own cursor. Instead of one person presenting while everyone else watches, everyone can point, click and type at the same time. Windows stream directly from machine to machine, and teammates use your apps as if they were their own. When you leave and come back, the room is still there. It's a truly shared computer.
Watch your AI agents work. Most AI agents that use a computer work out of sight or take over your mouse. On Novastart, each agent gets its own cursor and keyboard and works in plain sight on the canvas while you keep doing your own work. Spawn several agents at once: a lead agent can split a big job across helpers, each in its own window. You can pause an agent mid-click, type a correction, or take any window back, and results are checked before a job is marked done. Agents run on OpenAI's computer-use models with your own OpenAI API key, and developers can build their own agents with the Open Virtual Input SDK in Python, JavaScript or Rust.
Keep your files. Keep your apps. Novastart isn't a new set of apps to learn. It's a better way to use the ones you have. There are no plugins to add and nothing to import: your web apps open as real windows, signed in as you, and any site opens in the bundled Chrome. It's private by default, too. Nothing leaves your machine until you share a canvas, and only the people you invite can see it.
Two ways to run it. Try the Novastart app, which runs the whole OS in a window on Windows 10/11 or an Intel Mac. When you want full speed, install Novastart OS on a PC of its own. If you're already on Ubuntu, a package adds Novastart alongside your existing desktop.
Novastart is for anyone whose work spans many apps: founders, operators, researchers, students, small teams, and anyone who wants to put AI agents to work without losing sight of what they're doing.
