Most no-code game editors solve the fun part and abandon the project at the finish line. Egmatic is built for the road after the prototype. It is a no-code editor for 2D games for solo developers and small teams.
Game logic is assembled in a visual node editor - behaviors, conditions and actions connect as nodes, so the logic stays visible and editable without a programming language in between. Scenes are built with drag and drop, and a real-time preview replaces the build cycle: what you change is what you see, immediately.
When the game is ready, one project exports to Windows, macOS, Linux, Android, iOS and Web - publishing to six platforms is a menu action, not a second engineering project.
Under the surface the editor is honest about your data: a project is a set of clean, versioned JSON contracts, and the runtime is a separate engine on .NET 9 and MonoGame. A finished game never gets locked inside the tool - the data is readable, diffable in version control, portable to other tooling.
The roadmap keeps the same promise: player accounts, cloud saves and leaderboards arrive as ready-made services - no backend to write or host. AI assistance inside the editor is planned; the JSON-first architecture is prepared for it.
During early access Egmatic is completely free - the waitlist is open at egmatic.com.
